Fireworm
Fireworm offers a simple, safe answer to the problem of Way Guidance and danger demarcation. Developed to overcome this specific problem, Fireworm offers the user the comfort of knowing that they can illuminate a pathway or cordon off a specific area, simply by pulling the cable from the drum and switching it on. An important feature is that the cable does not emit a pool of light; it radiates a cold clear light along its entire length. Fireworm acts to mark or guide not to illuminate.
Ordinary bulbs or lights can easily fail as most are fragile, however, the Fireworms range of illuminated cables are constructed using a tough polyester casing which is difficult to damage and because of this the cable will never fail abruptly; it will pulse when the battery life is low. The drum is rated at IP 65 and the cable IP 69. The face plate on the drum has a LED indicator to show the status of the Battery i.e. when the power level is at full, half or low output. The illumination material is only 5 mm in diameter, it emits a brilliant blue-green light along its entire length. This colour is highly visible at night, so it is particularly useful in training situations, providing the safety and comfort factors inherent in a clear, constant reference point. The Fireworm’s illuminated marking system has been designed and developed by LGI specifically to overcome the problem of highlighting areas of danger or marking a safe route.
